I just got back from Minnesota where we had one of those perfect Fall weekends at the cabin. Saturday was in the high 50's and sunny - perfect weather to bundle up for one final boat ride. For dinner that night, the weather was such that I could rock my favorite Fall outfit of a fun dress, chic coat, and boots. This Summer was far too hot for my liking, so being able to finally slip into that outfit brought me so much joy!
NYC's forecast is finally calling for Fall fashion and I need to make a few purchases to round out my Fall wardrobe. Those purchases are looking to be majority cute and easy dresses. The most comfortable and effortless outfit for me is the dress/boot combo; add a cute coat or tights when it gets colder and you have your uniform set until Spring! Not to mention that the look suits literally everyone. Change up the boot style/shaft height, decide which dress cut best suits your body-type and you've got a outfit winner. I lean towards dresses that taper at the waist. I desperately want to be able to rock a shift sweater dress, but because I have a smaller waist and a bigger bottom half, they just look wonky on me. Sigh.
