Gift Guide: Stocking Stuffers

Day one in the week of Paige Goes Posh gift guides starts with stocking stuffers. My family's tradition is to open gifts on Christmas morning and we always, always start with the stockings. My mom, errr I mean Santa, has always had the most fun with the stockings and stuffs them full of goodies. There are the items that always show up: chapstick, hand lotion, some variety of candy, cologne/perfume, and an apple or orange at the very bottom.

There is the funniest home video of my older brothers opening their stockings when they were tiny tots. Justin is opening Matt's for him and showing him all the toys and goodies. When he happens upon the apple, he looks a bit perplexed and goes: "And... an apple? You can, ummm, bounce it like a ball" and proceeds to really bounce it like a ball. You can hear my mom is in the background proclaiming "Justin! That is NOT what the apple was for!" We came to appreciate the healthy snack as we grew older.

Anyways, I digress. Opening stockings is one of my favorite things because you get the stuff you rarely want to buy for yourself. In my adult years, Santa/Mrs. Claus aka Becky Allen (I can hear her now saying "if you don't believe, you don't receive!" while reading this) have made sure my stockings always include cute make-up and skincare sets made specially for the holiday season, fun hair and travel accessories, skincare, and some dainty jewelry pieces.

The stocking stuffer-type gifts don't need to just be for stockings either. They're perfect for a gift exchange with friends or even as hostess gifts (a separate gift guide for host/hostess gifts will be up on the blog later in the week). Most of the items I've shared are under $100, while some are a bit of a splurge (hi there, Chanel hair accessories!)

Hope you all are happily gearing up for a fabulous holiday season and not pulling your hair out over gift shopping (If you are, Paige Goes Posh has you covered!) And most importantly, remember that the gifts are the *least* important part of the season. Family, friends, and helping others is where it's really at!

XOXO, Paige
