I love plaid. And I don't just love it during the holiday season, I love it alllll year long. For work, for fun, gingham, tartan, houndstooth, glen plaid, window pane; you name it, I love it. I learned this love of plaid from my Dad, who happens to be the best dressed man on Earth (don't @ me). For as long as I can remember, he has rocked gorgeous variations of plaid suit jackets and sports coats during all seasons.
During the first year of my MBA program, we were required to wear business professional clothing, so I took the opportunity to finally have some dress pants and blazers made that would actually fit me. Getting clothes tailor made is both intoxicating and dangerous. There are so many different patterns and fabrics, you could broke real quick. My favorite item 3+ years later? A pair of gray and black plaid pants that I rock at least twice a month with a black turtleneck, white blouse, or oversized sweater.
Plaid is classic and chic plaid pieces are something you will go back to and rock season after season, year after year. While I'm always a fan of finding a steal, I'm also willing to invest in items I know will never go out of style. For me, plaid pieces are one of those ageless, classic things.
