My Amazon Beauty Must-Haves

Updated: Jul 16, 2019

I just got back to NYC after a quick trip to Minnesota and while unpacking and organizing my medicine cabinet, I got the inspiration to do a blog post on some of my must-have beauty picks!

I'm a big researcher. I love reading up on the science and health benefits behind any beauty or health regime. Many of the products I listed below I started using back in college and have experienced such great results, not only do I continue to use them 5+ years later, but I feel the need to shout their benefits from the rooftops!

Below you can find the descriptions of all my favorite products and you can shop them all in one quick stop HERE!

XOXO, Paige

Hum Vitamins: I just discovered this line of vitamins last year and their bright labeling was enough to sell me, but their results are what keep me coming back. I have 6+ types of their vitamins in my medicine cabinet at any given time, but 'Collagen Love', 'Daily Cleanse', and 'Here Comes the Sun' are the ones I must always have one hand.

Dry Brush: I started dry brushing back in college and when I'm really on top of it and doing it pre-shower/bath morning and night, I see a significant improvement in the appearance of my cellulite. I'm also ALL about promoting lymphatic drainage and dry brushing is one of the very best ways to accomplish that. I tried a few brushes back in college before I found the Yerba Prima Brush and it is the ONLY one I will use. It has the perfect level of firmness so it actually feels like it's doing something, while other brushes are just too soft.

Vital Proteins: Back in my early college days, before discovering Vital Proteins, I used to mix the beef collagen into my tea. Mind you, this was the type of collagen that would GEL, so I was forced to chug my piping hot tea in fear of the gag inducing jelly texture that would come if I let it sit for too long. But hey, you do what you have to do for good skin, nice hair and strong bones/joints! I love mixing the collagen peptides into my smoothies and using the beauty collagen in my tea to a glass of water. The lavender lemon flavor is FAB!

Ice Roller: This roller is GOD'S GIFT! I know the jade rollers are trendy, but even if you leave them in the freezer, the hold their coldness for what feels like 2.5 seconds. I need MORE than that to de-puff and soothe my face. I also love how big the roller is; makes going over the cheeks/forehead a breeze. It's also a lifesaver in the case of a headache. I do still keep a jade roller in the freezer for the more delicate eye areas.

Liquid Chlorophyll: My family has a home in Vail, CO and as much as we love it, that altitude change is not to be messed with! My dad, no matter how well he hydrates, suffers from some level of altitude sickness. I was researching remedies for this when I stumbled upon liquid chlorophyll and even though I *thankfully* don't get altitude sickness, I was so sold on the benefits, I continue to drink it even when I'm not in the mountains. Detoxifying, red blood cell building, and digestive help to name a few!

Lavender Essential Oil: I use lavender essential oil for a ton of different things. I put it in my bathes, mix it with my body lotions/oils, and put it in both my homemade castor oil lash/brow serum and in my mascara. Lavender has anti-inflammatory properties and it's soothing scent helps with anxiety and insomnia. It's also a natural bug-repellent, which is amazing during the mosquito crazy Summer months!

Coconut Oil: I've been using coconut oil since college and it's a must-have. I used to use Crest white strips and found them to be WAY too harsh on my teeth, so I started exploring natural teeth whitening options and that's when I learned about oil pulling. Oil pulling has a ton of benefits, but teeth whitening has been the main one for me. I swish the coconut oil in my mouth for anywhere from 5-20 minutes while I do the rest of my morning routine then spit it in the trash can or toilet (not down the sink!) and brush my teeth. I use a bit of coconut oil in my bathes and it makes my skin so hydrated and smooth.

Chest Pillow: Okay, so this is probably the oddest thing on my beauty must-have list, but it is a total game changer. Whether you have a larger chest, or even if you are simply a side sleeper (I happen to be both!) chest wrinkles are real! This pillow is so comfortable and provides support for side-sleepers while helping to keep the weight of side sleeping from wrinkling the chest skin!

Epsom Salts: I'm not picky about brands, but I take an epsom salt bath pretty much every night. Our bodies naturally lack magnesium and it is so important for normal body function, so soaking in an epsom salt bath is the perfect remedy. For me personally, it helps with bloating as well as setting me up for a restful nights sleep. I also add baking soda to my epsom salt bathes for additional detox benefits as well as to help make the water more alkaline!

Castor Oil: Another tried and true. I used castor oil on my brows and lashes as a natural growth serum. It's also rich in ricinoleic acid, a monounsaturated fatty acid, which makes it an excellent moisturizer. I use it as my nighttime body oil. It's very thick, but mixing in a few drops of lavendar oil is all it takes to make it more spreadable!

Coffee Scrub: I started using 'Frank Body' Scrub back in college and love the benefits of it. Smoother, less irritated skin is a huge thing, but really I'm a sucker for anything that helps diminish the appearance of cellulite. There are a ton of coffee scrubs out there, you really can't go wrong as long as you're checking ingredients to make sure there is no junk added in. But I will say, Frank's has the BEST scents. The coconut smells like a tropical paradise and I am HERE for it!
