In my opinion, there's nothing quite as chic as a fabulous one-piece swimsuit. While I still love a good bikini, as I inch closer to 30, I've started to feel most comfortable in a stylish one-piece. Thankfully, this look is back in style in the best of ways. Every time I look online for a new swimsuit, I'm bombarded with one adorable option after the other.
Something about the cut of a really good one-piece is like putting on your favorite pair of Spanx. It sucks you in, holds you up, smoothes you out, and throws in a belt to cinch the waist! What more could a gal want?! I also think fun patterns and details are executed so much better on one-pieces than on bikinis. Again, I promise I'm not a bikini hater (a blog post on my favorite two-pieces can be found here) I'm just in the midst of an epic love affair with one-pieces at the moment.
I'm long-waisted with boobs and a butt, so finding a well fitting suit can be a bit of a challenge. Below, I've gathered some of my current favorite one-pieces. The brands of these suits check all my required boxes: high-quality, good fit, and include some variation of fun pattern/color/detailing. They are a bit on the spendy side (though a few are on major sale), but I look at swimsuits as an investment piece. I currently have swimsuits in my drawer from 5-10 years ago. Taking care of them properly is key. As a Florida girl, my top tip is to buy the swimsuit washes (my favorites are here and here) they sell online/at every swimwear store and wash the chlorine, sunscreen and saltwater off! That is the best way to prolong the shape and color of your swimwear pieces!
